Overnight Success

ladder-of-successAn Overnight Success…. Isn’t that deep down our goal? Even if you have never thought about it, many of our motives are to achieve success as quickly as possible. But, for many when that doesn’t happen, they give up and go back to the way thing used to run.

Being an overnight success is very appealing for the majority, because it doesn’t sound like much work and it won’t take a lot of time. But as Christian Entrepreneurs, it’s our job to hear God and then do the thing He tells us to do. We are to remain and stand firm no matter what the situation looks like. Being an overnight success could lead to a major fall at some point and time.

When you look at all the godly men and women in the Bible, MANY had to go through fire, trials and persecution before they made it to the Promised Land….
And it’s a good thing too! When we go through trials to get to success, it’s a very good thing… Not a fun thing, but a good thing.
The point of going through the fire is to come out purified, looking like Christ. Those trials are character builders, they are opportunities to trust the Lord or not. Those who persevere, get the reward. The best part about it is, because they went through all the character building stuff, they can handle true success and it won’t cause them to stumble and fall. They won’t get prideful and egotistical, they will only be about their Father’s business, bring glory to Him alone.

I know a few overnight successes, they are great people, but yet there has always been something that didn’t feel right about them. You may call that being judgmental, but I call it paying attention to the Holy Spirit.
Please don’t misunderstand; I’m not saying that everyone who achieves success quickly are immature, bad people… Not at all. But I am saying is, don’t stress because you are having hard times and not an overnight success. Take it with joy and keep trusting and seeking the Lord for guidance.

For in Him alone, lies true success.
Don’t ever give up!
