Christian Entrepreneurs and the Kingdom of God

reading_bible_webIt can be hard to own and run a business and to remain strong in your faith. With all the pressures, distractions, responsibilities and much more that comes at you when you are an Entrepreneur, it can be hard to have a walk with God at all!

So what are Christian Entrepreneurs supposed to do to continue to remain strong in their faith while building a successful small business?

These are some of the questions I have been tackling at Possessing Your Land, inside our Members sites. I would like to share some key steps to running a successful business and growing in your walk with God.

First, we must invest in ourselves by getting into the Word of God. This is massively huge! Jesus said, “You shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make you free.” There are so many lies we believe about ourselves, money, business, and more that it affects how we live and how we run our business. Did you know the Bible talks more about money than any other topic? That’s crazy! But, there is a reason why and it’s very important to understand how God’s Kingdom operates and why God has chosen it to be that way. By Getting in the Word, you also discover who God really is and who He says you are, it’s truly life changing. God’s Truth also destroys ungodly mindsets that will sabotage you and your business. We must have a Kingdom Mindset!

Second, we need to invest in our business. We do this taking the time to learn real marketing. The majority of small business owners don’t learn marketing which costs them more than they would ever want to pay. When I say marketing, I don’t mean being a salesman, I mean learning how to market your product or service in the smartest, most productive way. When was the last time you split-tested your sales page to see which one got the better opt-in rate? An awesome example of a company who does this is Apple. They have truly done an excellent job in marketing, from the color of the page to the picture placements. These are the kind of things that must be done if you want to build a successful small business or home based business.

Thirdly, we must invest in our customers. We do this by adding value to their lives by giving them valuable content, training, services, etc. We should always make it a goal to go above and beyond the price we are charging. People are buying from us to because we have a solution to their problem or we are offering something that brings them pleasure. No matter, which category your business falls into, we should go at it as if we were providing the service or product for the King of kings. Because in all reality, we are to do our work as unto the Lord. I encourage you to sit down and figure out how you are adding value to your customers and what changes could you make to add even more value.

I wish all of you the best of success as you are going out Possessing Your Land with your business, glorifying God every step of the way.

God bless!
